Edward M. (Ed) Buttimer has been practicing law since 1968. Ed was an Assitant District Attorney for Chatham County followed by a referee for Chatham County Juvenile Court until 1975 when he started his own practice. Ed continued to be Judge Pro Tem for a number of years. A 1968 graduate of the University of Georgia Law School, Ed is most active in the areas of real estate and probate. Ed received his Bachelor of Arts in English (with a History minor) from Belmont Abbey College in 1964.
Ed grew up in Savannah graduating from Benedictine Military School (1960). Ed is past Financial Secretary of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Monsignor Daniel J. Bourke, Division One, Savannah, Georgia, and a member of the Hibernian Society of Savannah. He is a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he serves as a Eucharistic Minister. Ed has been married to his wife Rochelle for over 39 years and has three children: Toby and Joe, who both practice with him, as well his daughter Moira, who now resides in Atlanta. |
