About Us



Edward M. (Ed) Buttimer has been practicing law since 1968. Ed was an Assitant District Attorney for Chatham County followed by a referee for Chatham County Juvenile Court until 1975 when he started his own practice. Ed continued to be Judge Pro Tem for a number of years. A 1968 graduate of the University of Georgia Law School, Ed is most active in the areas of real estate and probate.  Ed received his Bachelor of Arts in English (with a History minor) from Belmont Abbey College in 1964. 

Ed grew up in Savannah graduating from Benedictine Military School (1960). Ed is past Financial Secretary of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Monsignor Daniel J. Bourke, Division One, Savannah, Georgia, and a member of the Hibernian Society of Savannah. He is a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he serves as a Eucharistic Minister. Ed has been married to his wife Rochelle for over 39 years and has three children: Toby  and Joe, who both practice with him, as well his daughter Moira, who now resides in Atlanta.


Edward M. (Toby) Buttimer, Jr., has been practicing law in Savannah for 10 years. A 1995 graduate of the University of Georgia Law School, Toby is most active in the areas of real estate and probate, but handles cases in other areas as well.  Toby received his Bachelor of Arts in History from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 1991.

Toby grew up in Savannah graduating from Sacred Heart Catholic School (1982) and Benedictine Military School (1986). He is a current communicant of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Toby is past president of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Monsignor Daniel J. Bourke, Division One, Savannah, Georgia. Toby has one son, Conor, age 6.


Joseph E. (Joe) Buttimer has been practicing law for over 9 years. A 1997 graduate of the University of Georgia Law School, Joe is most active in the areas of real estate and probate. Joe also handle numerous witness closings throughout Southeast Georgia. Joe also handles some criminal matters, incorporations, as well as a number of other areas. Joe received his Bachelor of Science in criminal Justice from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 1994.

Joe grew up in Savannah graduating from St. James Catholic School (1986) and Benedictine Military School (1990). Joe is past president of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Monsignor Daniel J. Bourke, Division One, Savannah, Georgia, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #631.
